Noughts and Crosses

Hail and Well Met. 

This is a simple, easy-to-play single-player noughts and crosses (or tic-tac-toe) game built in Python using Pygame and presented for your entertainment and gaming pleasure. 

You, Player One, will play a noughts and crosses game over a fixed number of rounds on a classic 3x3 board. Your opponent will be The Machine, a determined computer player eager for victory. Your mission, should you choose to accept, will be to outsmart The Machine at every turn and thus emerge triumphant.

Version 1 (this release) is deliberately minimal: the focus is on clean flows, complete loops and enjoyable basic gameplay.

How to Play? Click on an empty square to mark it with your token and thus make your move. The game runs for five rounds only. You will receive an end-of-game summary, after which the game will automatically close.
